| Video: Woodworking #7- Make an End Grain Cutting Board Pt.1 One of my favorite woodworking projects is a butcher block end-grain cutting board. Im not sure if its the "back to basics" simplicity or just the fact that it is one of the most useful projects a woodworker can make, but something keeps bringing me back for more. A custom cutting board makes a great gift and many woodworkers make them in batches every Holiday Season. And if you are relatively new to woodworking, this is a great project to hone your milling, glue-up and tablesaw skills. In Part 1 of this two part series, we cover the preparation and construction of the board itself. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do. |
| I love to have those kinds of stuffs. Back when I was a teenager I used to go to my grandpa's wood shop and he made lots of good items for the house and for the neighbors. Those times that I visit him in the shop was also our bonding times during those days. Now I have my own woodwork shop and I owe it to my grandpa for sharing such a wonderful gift to me. |
| If you are creative enough there are a lot of things that you can create through woodworking. Making such kind of cutting board is truly great. In fact, I also buy a wooden cutting board at home because it is more durable. The designs of it are also the best. Thank you for sharing the video. | Crafts and art have been two of the most famous hobbies anyone could every have. In my case, the art and hobby that I am up to now is photography. Well, I do believe that many people love that area as well, well, I love to express my self in taking good pictures and exhibiting it in some galleries that I own. I love this craft and I am actually teaching this stuff for free to those individual that like the craft. |
| Doing art and craft is an exciting and useful form of activity. Here you can create useful stuff and personalize it for yourself. As a beginner, I think it would be a tough work for me. But if you have the strong determination in what you are doing, then there is nothing to worry about. It is normal to make mistakes so that you would be better in the future. I'll try making this cutting board for myself. It seems very interesting and fun. |
| My life is woodworking! My dad taught me when I was just a little girl and I have never forgotten it. I have never done anything like this, but I am definitely ready to try it out. I am thinking of trying it out for the next holiday season, I have a few gifts to prepare and I think those will be it. That video is also awesome. Very well done. Thanks for posting Brachle. |
