Spend the extra money to get quality thread for your next project. Comment #1 endora (24.45.126.104) - True story. I tried to save some money on a sewing project and bought the cheaper thread and i had a really hard time setting it up in the mashine because it wouldnt work like i needed it to. Comment #2 Jeanette from AZ (Contact Member) - The same thing goes for cheap yarn. I bought a bunch of yarn at a "discount" store and it was horrible. The yarn kept fraying and at one point while I was crocheting with it, it completely broke apart!! Comment #3 mongoose from USA (Contact Member) - I use metallic thread and wire in certain mixed media projects. I was worried that years from now the whole thing would fall apart on the wall. Comment #4 endora (24.45.126.104) - Metallic thread hrmmm. Do you have to worry about rust at all as it ages? Interesting i havent messed with it much but that does sound like a nice alternative if you are worried about age effecting the piece. Comment #5 mongoose from USA (Contact Member) - I don't worry about rust because I use finisher and then it's either under glass or tied with nylon too so it will retain shape even if for some reason the wire or thread deteriorates. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
