I bought an inexpensive lamp and covered it with denim fabric (my son's room is decorated in denim). I just hot glued it onto the shade and it looks great!!

That sound like a good idea. Will it not melt the shade from the heat? I thought lamp shades were made out of a special kind of cloth?

I wouldn't think that it would...my daughter has a ballerina themed room and her lampshade has fabric on it.
