Is there any websites that you are aware of that a person can go to to get instructions on line for just starting out knitting?

Here is a good starter site. I would also look for local classes around your town so you can learn first hand. Ive seen some good books on the subject as well.

I agree that learntoknit.com is very helpful for beginners as well as knittinghelp.com. They have a section for both beginner and advanced knitters.

It really helps us if you put those links in when you type your message so they show as a link. Then I can just click and get to the webpage! Now, that's the WEB!

I've tried knitting but I get so frustrated I end up quitting. When I first start it's fine but somewhere along the way I end up knitting tighter so it always looks lopsided. I do much better when I crochet.

Wow knitting is the best, I love knitting too. Our Elementary teacher thought us so well I can't forget some of the techniques.
