I've bought a bunch of those door hangers of the plastic foam and had the kids decorate them any way they want. I have a big tub of different foam pieces - letters, numbers, shapes, etc. It's great because you just peel off the back - no glue is needed.

Those are very cute. I saw some at Michaels the other day. You can also find some in craft books for kids. I think the ones that the kids just color themselves are very, very cute.

How much were they at Michael's?

I was thinking of starting a holiday crafts class.

Who ever innovated or invented this is a genius. My kids just love those door hangers I've bought last year from Walmart.

Since the Christmas and holiday seasons are getting near, i think it would be appropriate to share with you guys this project that i searched from the net. This christmas themed door hangers would be a great kids project.

Cut 10x5 rectangle out of heavy weight cardstock

Cut a 3 inch circle in the top as shown.

Do the same thing with felt but make allowance for sewing by adding a fraction.

Cover your cardstock with the felt and stitch around the edges. Alternatively you could glue this felt on and cover the glued edges with ribbon, glitter paints or cord.

Once your door hanger is covered you can embellish with ribbons and ornaments.

Well besides being a simple and temporary kids crafts. Adults can also engage doing some of these door hangers on their own rooms. You can also make a self-crafted dream catcher or chime that rings everytime the door opens or a cool wind blows through it.

That sounds great Rubie. I love the relaxing sound of chimes. It makes me think of my room back home, the feeling is so relaxing and warm, I can imagine myself in my own room back home while waiting for my mom's baked goodies for our snack.

Anyway, I would want to know some easy and simple steps for me to follow so that I can also make this kind of chimes. Thanks a lot.

I also felt the same, I also love chimes. I feel relaxed every time I hear the sound that it makes. As a matter of fact, I have a collection of chimes. My friends would buy me some chimes every time they see some at travel, they thought of me whenever they see chimes. Have a great day guys and just keep all of those posts coming. Thanks a lot :)
