Has anyone ever done this? I did a class years ago and it was a blast. Basically you blow on the egg using a pin at both ends and blow on the yoke and all the insides out of the egg. After that is complete you use bees wax to make designs on the egg shell. After the wax drys you melt off the wax with a candle and start working with the dyes. Its really alot of fun.

I think I saw a show about this on HGTV. Some of the designs are quite beautiful. It does look like it would be a very detailed project to undertake. I don't know if I would have the patience. LOL.

Some people can make the eggs very gorgeous. My hand isn't steady enough to paint something that small. I really enjoy looking at the finsihed product though.

Well you can do simple designs as well you dont have to do the really intense ones that some do. I would even venture to say that kids can do it with supervision. The egg blowing is actually harder then the decoration.

I don't have steady hands either so my egg probably wouldn't look as nice. LOL. I guess I'll just stick to dyeing eggs.

Well if you really want to cheat you can use crayons and make designs on the eggs and then dye them. Its really good with the kids at easter time and its very simple.

I have watched a show on television about this egg decoration thingy. I have seen than he uses larger eggs like from turkeys and from ostriches. I'd like to have one or make one myself but I can't remember what county it was but I'm pretty sure that it is somewhere south east Asia. They have painted eggs to like the one you guys are talking about and they also have carved ones with astonishing designs. Does anyone heard about these?
