I can believe how expensive pumpkins are! I just paid 5.00 for this small pumpkin at the store and its not worth it! Isn't this a simple farm item to make? What are they so expensive? I'm afraid to even go pumpkin picking anymore because the price is insane. they do it by the pound!!

Did you make stuff out of the pumpkin raw material you scooped out of the middle?

Pumpkin bread is good stuff especially when you use chocolate chips in it!

I think pumpkins are worth it if you really love the shape.

I love the min pumpkins we have at our desks at work.

We tried growing our own this year, and only got two before the squirrels got to them! I know last year was a bad year here for pumpkins, may it was that way all over the US, and they need to make up for the loss.

I went to the store also to buy a pumpkin. Like Endora said, the prices were ridiculous! Some landscape companies sell them by the pound but also charge too much.. I suggest just taking a nice drive through the country. I did that looking for pumpkin patches and signs of pumpkins for sale.. Those places usually have a bunch of pumpkins for sale but if you ask the farm owner if you could go pick your own, they are usually generous and would let you. I did that the other day and i got two 20 pound carving pumpkins, three smaller ones, 3 volleyball sized pumpkin pie pumpkins, and a huge bundle of corn stalks for only $12!! And you know thats a steal compared to going somewhere else! These are great looking pumpkins!

We don't feel that price increase to where we lived at. I think either there is a shortage or big demand of vegetables in your country that is why sellers exploits the prices of commodities. I think you should report this to your local Department of Industries or any government department concerned with the welfare of consumers. Don't be deceived, if this continue then they'll just keep on throwing you insane prices for products.
