Paper Mache Masks

You can make your own paper mache mask, just like you would the paper mache easter eggs we made when we were kids.
Just blow up a medium to large balloon and take strips of newspaper and drench them in a homemade paste of flour and water (thick) and wrap around half of the balloon. Once dry - repeat with a second layer. Once that is dry, you may pop the balloon and paint your face any way you want. Cut holes for the eyes and for the mouth and nose (ventilation is sooo important). Take a paper punch and punch a hole on each side of the mask and tie on elastic string. You can punch holes all around the mask and tie yarn and make a lion!! Great craft idea for kids!!
