Making masks

Courtney (1) from The South -

Our school had a fall festival so we made really cute masks that looked like ones from a masquerade or a ball. They were very cute. The kids put beads, glitter, and feathers on them. That is a great idea for teachers that work at schools that don't allow Halloween themed projects.

My daughter's class did this last year. They did kind of a masquerade ball theme close to Halloween. My daughter really dressed up her mask...I don't think there was anything she DIDN'T put on it!!

I wish my school was as inventive. They do nothing for halloween. I think the most we get is a local visit to the pumpkin patch for 15 bucks from mom and dad for the ride lol.

Another thing my kids' school does is a fall festival. They'll have a pumpkin carving contest and stuff like that. The kids enjoy it and look forward to it every year. One year they had a contest on who could decorate the best pumpkin. You couldn't carve it, just paint on it. There were some really cute ideas out there!!

I love mask projects.

You can go with a plain mask in black, white, red, green or silver and gold.

Mask are areat way to transform an evening dress or even a man in a suit into a "costume".

I wish I had thought ahead and started making these in time to sell on Ebay this year. maybe next year. Custom made masks. How fun.

Our school has a halloween parade, but most of the parents don't have the time to make the costumes. I alway make my daughtes costume and love to be creative. That what we did when we were younger. I would hate to have my daughter miss out on that experience.
