What type of dressforms are there? Do you know something we need to know?

My daughter is 9 and loves to design clothes. I would like to get her a dressform (her wish)for christmas and help her learn to sew.

I think a dressform sounds like a great gift. I know these go on Ebay frequently so it might be able to pick one up at an affordable price.

Yeah ebay is a great resource for finding a pattarn she can start out with. I cant think of any sites that could help with beginner pattarns. I think they even have starter sewing machines for kids if i remember right.

That's a great idea. My youngest is 5 and she seems very interested in fashion, etc. We do think that she will end up being some kind of fashion designer. Looking on ebay for the dressform is a great idea. I'm sure you'll find one there.

Wow i never thought of that. I could get a dresform and make some amazing clothes. Wow it's so funny the freedom you have when you think about it.

I really want a dressform now!

I guess it would be good to get one for yourself size. But I want to design special evening gowns!

If you're a budding fashion designer then definitely a dressform is the way to go!! My cousin designs dresses and had her first dressform when she was 12 years old!!

an adjustable dressform is a good idea so you can set the size exact for the person you are looking at designing a dress for.
