Working with pastel crayons is amazing! I totally enjoy being able to shape the line and then blur the effects.

I have dicovered that if you buy extra black and gray you are thinking ahead. I almost never use the white.

make sure you buy the right paper. You can really get a lot of enjoyment working with pastels.

I have not used pastels since high school. That makes me want to buy a pastel set. I used to love using pastels. They are wonderful for people that aren't great artists too. Very easy to use, very user friendly and hours of enjoyment.
