Penmanship is an art form. I have always wanted good penmanship, but it never happened. I bought a book of italic script and tracing paper, but I didn't get the hang of it. How do you learn? Comment #1 Gail from Tinsel Town - I was blessed with good penmanship and am hoping that I can capitalize on it by addressing wedding invitations. I have done it for friends and family in past years but always as a favor to them and it was suggested that I start my own business by addressing invitations. I think at our local library they had a class on calligraphy. I don't think you need to have "perfect" handwriting to learn that. Comment #2 TexasGal from Dallas, Texas - My mom addressed my wedding invitations. She doesn't have great handwriting, but it was better than paying someone to do it. We did calligraphy in sixth grade. That was fun. Comment #3 Lorelei from The South - With the calligraphy pens anyone can have good handwriting. They take a little practice to get the writing perfect, but once you practice you won't make too many mistakes. I too was blessed with good penmenship. Comment #4 TexasGal from Dallas, Texas - Really? Any calligraphy pens? I hadn't noticed that myself. Anytime I write with calligraphy pens it just looks like my same awful handwriting with a thicker pen. LOL!
