Penmanship is an art form. I have always wanted good penmanship, but it never happened. I bought a book of italic script and tracing paper, but I didn't get the hang of it. How do you learn?

I was blessed with good penmanship and am hoping that I can capitalize on it by addressing wedding invitations. I have done it for friends and family in past years but always as a favor to them and it was suggested that I start my own business by addressing invitations. I think at our local library they had a class on calligraphy. I don't think you need to have "perfect" handwriting to learn that.

My mom addressed my wedding invitations. She doesn't have great handwriting, but it was better than paying someone to do it. We did calligraphy in sixth grade. That was fun.

With the calligraphy pens anyone can have good handwriting. They take a little practice to get the writing perfect, but once you practice you won't make too many mistakes. I too was blessed with good penmenship.

Really? Any calligraphy pens? I hadn't noticed that myself. Anytime I write with calligraphy pens it just looks like my same awful handwriting with a thicker pen. LOL!
