Yes life has come full circle from my childhood and i must confess i want the bead curtains that transfixed me in my childhood.I think they will make a fantastic color accessory to my apt. and divide the kitchen from the studio area. But how do i make the frame?

My father in law made us a frame out of a strip of wood. Just like a piece of trim. It works perfectly. If you are making your own, be prepared for the bead cost. You will be surprised how fast the beads add up.

That can be a very expensive project. I've seen a lot of the beads that you can hang in Target...I'm sure they have it at Wal-Mart too. I've seen them mostly in the bedding department - with all the kid stuff.

I was watching a show where they took those small plastic bracelets and made a curtain out of them. They got the bracelets at a dollar store and the curtain turned out very cute. The curtain may have cost them 5.00 max.
