I think another idea that is cute is to just put baskets of supplies on a shelf in your office or where you do your crafting. We have some really cute lined baskets we keep fabric, stickers, markers, and all kinds of other stuff in.

I love baskets! I use them for my wool when im working on a wool rug. I can get in and out of it nice and easy. Its perfect for my crafts. Every Easter i love picking out nice ones because i know ill be keeping them to use for other things after the holiday.

I use a basket for my yarn when I'm crocheting. It's so much more convenient. I used to have a tote bag that I threw everything in but I like using the basket much more. I lined it with fabric so as to not get the yarn all tangled in the basket.

I've gotten tons of baskets at the craft store near me and use them around the holidays for all sorts of things. I'll do gift baskets, throw a bunch of pine cones in them, or I'll use them to put all my Christmas cards in. They're very versatile.

LTD had a bunch of lined wicker baskets that weren't priced too bad! They stack which is nice. I use them to put in my scissors and knitting supplies.

Baskets! Yes! I used to keep all my latch hook supplies in a big basket when I was actively hooking. I wonder what happened to that basket. Now I can't keep anything like that out because one of th cats is a thief. LOL!

Well, we have a small basket here at home as well where we also put our fruits and veggies but not really crafts. Our crafts is usually place in our drawers in our antique cabinet which can be troublesome and time consuming. So I will try your advice and try to put my crafts on a basket, it can be also a good decor at one's dining room in a aesthetically point of view, right?

hi,

i would refrain from using open top storage as the next time you come to make something you could have colour faded cloth or thread. a large wooden sewing box is one of the best craft storage solutions.

cheers

Well i use baskets for picking up flowers in the garden, i have one small patch at out back yard and to basket my decor in the front yard.

Other than that i prefer covered storage for my craft materials such as my knitting stuffs and cloths. This way i am rest assured that they are safe from my dog as well with my little boy.

Well best of luck in storing those stuffs.

Hi guys!

What would be a good idea for storing some of you things is using yarn storage baskets or baskets made up form fabric lined baskets.

Usually you could purchase these on malls but making them yourself would be better.

The linked I've provided below shows photos and directions how to make a fabric lined basket yourself.

This project could also be a perfect welcoming gift for new neighbors.

That would be a nice idea Edna. I also thought of the same thing and since you open up that topic here, i would like to share some good advice when it comes to picking the best fabric lined fabrics. In my case I make my own basket and put in the name of my two kids in it. Every time my friends see my basket they all waned to try making their own basket.

That is good. I would also want to make my own and make it with my kids at home. I think my kids will surely enjoy doing the said activity. Anyway, would you mind posting here some good link about making such crafts? I would prefer an easy to follow steps. Thanks a lot guys, and I really hope to see lots of response here regarding this matter, have a great day.
