Does anyone have some good ideas on making your own ornaments. I have two small trees (3 ft) that have white lights all over them, they go in my entry hall. I would like to make some cute ornaments for them, any ideas send them my way please!

I like to just buy those plastic clear "icicles". I did a small tree where I just did white lights and the plastic icicles all over. It was really pretty.

I thought of something else. My sister does one of her little trees in all red bows. Her mother in law does a theme tree for each one of her kids (of course they're all grown ups now) but she would do one tree with all ballerina stuff since her daughter was a dancer and she did the other two trees sports themed for her sons. She still does it every year.

Every year i buy a kit for the kids from oriental trading company and they make the ornaments. We date them and they add a new one every year to the ornaments.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I really like the idea of just using bows, that would be really cute, and I have bunch of leftover Christmas ribbon from last year. I make bows every year for my big tree and if I had little bows on my little accent trees that would tie in perfectly.

What I love is now they have beautiful maroon and deep blue tones that are available too, not just the red bows. Her tree always looks so cute with the bows on it - simple and pretty.

We just bought a bunch of ornamnents at Target. We bought the ones that are hot pink, purple, teal, silver, and red. I love that they came out with this color assortment. My tree looks so great and I bought some silver wire ribbon that we made into bows. Just adorable and so much more fun than just green red and gold.

I bought one of those 4 foot trees on sale from Michael's. I already have a 8 foot tree in my home but I just couldn't pass up on the deal of a pre-lit tree for only $23.00. I bought all pastel colored ornaments - it looks so pretty!!

Last year I bought paint, silver and gold paint pens, and plain glass ornaments. I poured paint in bowls, dipped the ornaments in the paint, and let them dry. Then I painted designs on them with the pens. I hung the ornaments over newspaper so they could dry. Be careful not to let them touch each other.

They came out really pretty. Prettier than expected.
