They glued puzzle pieces (layered) onto cardboard cut out the shape of a wreath, then spray painted it a nice gold color. They glued a pretty ribbon at the top and that was it. Very simple but beautiful. After six years, it still comes out every year to be hung. Comment #1 Courtney (1) from The South (Contact Member) - I have also seen where the students trace their hands on red and green construction paper, cut them out and glue them in the shape of wreaths. I think this is a very cute idea for them to take home for their parents. Comment #2 Milly (1) from my desk! (Contact Member) - I really like the puzzle wreath idea! We did that with a picture frame. My dd did the hand wreath! We still hang it up every year for xmas. Comment #3 Fran from New York (Contact Member) - I love pulling out all of the Christmas decorations from years past. I see all of the old projects that the kids had made from school and it's cute to see their handwriting improve over the years. Comment #4 peekaboo from the north (Contact Member) - I just saw a post that kids use their hand prints and made a christmas tree wall hanging! Comment #5 Minnie (63.176.159.70) - this realy is a great and worthy project for kids.. what if they use bottle caps instead? Comment #6 Ralph (63.176.159.23) - I have seen some of the Hand Christmas Trees. It looks really cool and the kids love doing it! Comment #7 Adam (63.176.159.161) - Something my mother has kept forever is a "Hand" Christmas tree that I made way back in preschool. It was maybe six or seven of my hand prints in the shape of a tree. We used finger paint for the tree, and later added colored bulbs of paint and a star to top it off. It was also made on a white burlap kind of material. This is something I'll be seeing every year at mom's house for christmas. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
