Rather than go out and buy a Christmas card for their teachers every year, I have the kids make their own card and place their picture on the front. I have tons of cardstock for them to choose from and lots of fun stamps, hole punches, etc. They look forward to this every year. I also have them help me with baking either cookies or brownies for their teacher as well. It gives it more of a personal touch.

I do this as well. I have construction paper set aside on occasion where a gift is needed. I also have newpaper type wrapping paper i let them decorate and then we wrap the gift with it. Its really nice with grandparents as well.

That is a great idea, being a teacher it is much more personal and over the years going back each Christmas and pulling out the cards that past students have given me, those are much more fun and interesting. Those are very sweet ideas.

Thanks Courtney!! My daughter's 2nd grade teacher from two years ago still displays her picture year after year. It makes my daughter feel very special.

I think I will use this idea and have my daughter do that for her 2nd grade teacher. I think teachers love the fact that the children are being creative.

That's a great idea. I think you're right- the teachers do appreciate the creative side of the child..it's much more personal.

someone told me of an easy way to make tags for your Christmas presents.

get paint cards from paint stores and you will have any color to match any gift. this is a cool and unique way to make name tag
