| Personalize your own votive candles Earlier this year I had a surprise 40th birthday party for my husband and as centerpieces I bought glass votive candles and then bought clear stickers. On the stickers I printed on them through my computer an inscription that said "Happy 40th Birthday Bryan" and then stuck them on all the votives. They turned out really cute!! |
| I saw something like that at a wedding. I thought that each of the votive candles on the tables were inscribed but they were just clear stickers. Boy, the things that you can do nowadays with your computer. |
| It sounds like the opportunities are endless and what a great idea. I think that our craft store actually sells a kit like that for weddings where it comes with the stickers and the votive holders. It's a great way to save money - ordering candles like that and having them personalized can get very expensive. |

| Oh that is so sweet of you Miss Gail. My husband is going to celebrate his birthday this December and maybe I can get an idea from your story. He is into miniature airplane collecting, maybe I can ask some of my artsy friends to emboss or engraved a message like this to my gift. He is the sentimental type of husband and I am sure he will love it... or else. Hahahaha iao girls. |
| I don't like the idea of giving a candle gift for your loveones. Where would he use it. I might end up you using it or be a decoration to you house, appartment. I would prefers some items to put that personalize clear stickers. Items that our husband personal use like a beer mug or a lighter or a pocket knife perhaps. |
| That was creative. I am sure the husband was really happy. If he did not utter anything, he was most likely beyond words. To me, gifts do not have to be something that can be put into real use. You can keep them as decorations or reminders of a happy occassion. Fher, if you really love something, you will strive to preserve it. Fortunately, you are entitled to your opinion. |
