I was going to buy some candles on ebay and I noticed most of the candle makers are now using soy, what does that mean? I saw that my shampoo on the front of the bottle has soy in it too.

soy wax burns cleaner. Some waxes when lite leave a nasty smokey flim in the air. Soy is a cleaner burn.

I've been trying to buy soy candles for awhile now. They generally burn a little longer and seem to burn cleaner.

I think they hold a scent a little better as well.

I didn't know that!! I think I'll start buying soy candles from now on - I hate that dark smoke after I light a candle. The smell lingers too.

Thanks for the information. Everything is going SOY! I didn't know anything about it, but now I think I am going to buy a couple of soy candles on Ebay.

Yeah i love burning candles but i always seem to forget to look if its soy and do get alot of the burn marks. Its cheaper for the manufactor not to use soy so you do really need to watch for it.
