How to get started

Does anyone have a good kit or a list of the basics needed to get started. My Daughter and I are interested in making candles for gifts for family and need to buy the essentials. There aren't craft stores near us so it would be online only to select from.

The best website that I have found for candle and soap making is www.candlewic.com. I have done alot of business with them. Good Luck. Making candles is a lot of fun and if you are interested in selling them it is also very profitable.

What a great site - very informative. I think I am going to order some of their kits. I've ALWAYS loved candles and it's a great gift giving idea as well.

Is it profitable? I always see the sellers on ebay but if you look at the cost of supplies and the cost of fees. IT looks as if they are just breaking even with all the competition on ebay.

I am going to check out that site. I just had a baby 3 months ago and now I am a stay at home mom looking to do some selling on ebay and I figured candles would be a great thing to start with. I hope to make at least a little money doing something I love. And, who doesn't love candles.
