You must be having a superb taste when it comes to arts and crafts Conrad. Asian hand crafts are one of a kind and that is why it is in demand and number exports in western countries. Have you heard of Angelina and Brad's piece of furniture that was ordered i think in the Philippines?

Not just the style, but they offer more on the quality and durability of their work, that is what makes asian works differ from other crafts.

This is why Asian handicrafts, wood works or any masterpieces are popular globally. One testimony to this is a magazine program I saw on cable about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie possessing one stylish ratan (type of hard wood) bed (or was that a chair) made from Cebu in the Philippines. Handmade products are really quite a rare sight on this automated processed world which makes its products sturdier and more reliable.

Do people in the Caribbean, follow these traditions at all? Surely there must be one or two indigenous tribes somewhere about the Caribbean island that still do hand crafted art that was passed own from generation to generation.

I think that I have heard of their being indigenous tribes located in places like Dominica and such. Can anyone name any other country in the Caribbean of which has indigenous people?

Handmade products and merchandise are really some work of art. The effort and dedication towards each crafts is really worth the praise and it is better than those multiple manufactured decors made by machines.

These types of crafts and handmade products can also be seen in other parts of the world, besides Asia. It is usually people with free time, in need of money, love for the craft, or tradition that drives them to continue to sell or create such artistically handmade products.

Yeah, hand made crafts are indeed great. Though they are most of the times priced real high, it is still great to own one since you can always be sure of the quality and the style. I have bags that are handmade and I only wear them during some important events that I have to attend. Anyway, have a good day guys and keep all those posts coming in. Ciao..
